Delighted that Rt Hon Greg Barker MP, the UK Minister for Engagement with India launched the special issue of our India Investment Journal in London.
The IIJ is published by India Inc. In my speech, I explained to the minister that my view was that its no longer the UK’s prerogative to designate or not to designate a “special relationship” with India. The partnership is genuine and equal. Hence the UK government and the Indian government should be talking about the enduring and deep relationship, which in my view is like no other bi-lateral relationship in the world.
