Yesterday I handed over a petition with actor Paresh Raval to Gujarat CM Narendra bhai Modi on behalf of the readers of Asian Voice/Gujarat Samachar Over 9000 UK Indians signed requesting direct non stop flights between London and Ahmedabad. The Chief Minister promised to continue to support this campaign to lobby the Congress Government in New Delhi to agree to the legitimate demands of Gujaratis living in the UK and indeed the many thousands of Gujarati tourists, students and business people visiting the UK each year. Direct flights will help boost trade and tourism both ways. Win-Win? Only if the current Indian Government listened.
