Enjoyed interacting with the PWC Hindu Network this evening. Unity in Diversity at Work (literally!)
In my remarks I said “We are lucky in the UK that we are able to celebrate Diwali with such vibrancy. There are many countries around the world where PWC operate where we would be prohibited from celebrating our festivals and openly practising our faith.”
I congratulated PWC and their chairman for embracing diversity, it made good business sense and good ethical sense. In a generation a quarter of the world’s wotkforce will be Indian with the vast majority Hindu. That cultural, business, and political opportunity must be harnessed by big corporates like PWC. Indians should be viewed as job makers not job takers.
