Uma has been selected by the Labour Party to stand as a member of parliament for Harrow East.
She is young, articulate, local and committed to OUR community.
For all these years we have said we need more British Indians in politics. We have the opportunity now, and that too in Harrow!
I am sure she will make an excellent MP and a great role model for our youth.
