I am pleased that Ed Miliband has announced a major commitment to tackling violence against women and girls in the UK. He has appointed the very able Seema Malhotra MP as shadow minister with a specific brief to look at ways in which this issue can be tackled.
It’s always great to see politicians of Indian origin in the UK get promoted to significant roles. Seema’s promotion is much needed and much deserved.
